Martine Micallef is expected to launch Avant-Garde (shown above left) this month. The fragrance for men has notes of citrus, water sword lily, iris, cocoa, tobacco leaf, incense, tonka bean and tolu balsam. (via cosmoty.de)
Hugo Boss has launched a limited edition fragrance for men, Boss in Motion Black (shown above right):
Inspired (apparently) by 'the moment of victory', it contains notes of kumquat, bergamot, grapefruit and ginger, underscored with masculine myrrh and sandalwood. (via wallpaper)
It is available now in the UK and is expected in the US later this year. Update: Hugo Boss In Motion Black is an Eau de Toilette (40 and 90 ml) and is also available in matching grooming products; additional notes include cardamon, blue lotus, sage, tobacco and vanilla.
Oh come on, what's next – Boss Red or Boss in Slow Motion? They're all blech if you ask me. Avant-garde sounds nice, though.
The Avant-Garde bottle is, if not an exact copy, then a slavish imitation of the original Parfum D'Hermes bottle.
The scent, though, sounds as if it'll be nice, unlike the new Boss, which will probably be as uninteresting as just about all the other Hugo Boss scents of the last decade–they've cranked out nearly twenty and only one of them, Boss in Motion (the one in the silver sphere with the orange equator), is worth a damn.
This rarely happens to me but I'm intrigued by the notes in the Avant Garde for Men. The bottle's, interesting, too. I feel like lining it up next to Infini and Or Noir.
Love “Boss in Slow Motion”, LOL! The Avant Garde does sound nice, and that's a great bottle.
I'll have to look for a picture of Parfum d'Hermes, thanks.
S, Same here, although of course it happens to me all the time 🙂
Hey, that's cool. I have to admit what grabbed me was the combination of cocoa and tobacco.
