Calypso has released a limited edition Eau de Toilette, Gardenia, with notes of fresh citrus, white gardenia, brazilian spices, narcissus, peach blossom, jasmine, vetiver, coriander, vanilla and musk. Update: see a review of Calypso Gardenia.
Now this sounds like it might be fabulous. Of course, if they got real gardenia, it'll be a first in gardenia perfumes! I really like Calypso as a perf house and have hopes that this new one will make a great spring and summer scent. Anybody tried it yet?
L, I haven't tried it yet but I like Calypso too, and curious about the “Brazilian spices”…will have to get a sample!
Has anyone tried the Jasmin y Lilas ??????? Please post if you have, okay ?
Has anyone tried this new Calypso too ?????????
Yes, I’ve tries Jasmin and Lilas and it’s a bit less delightful z+than the description like Jasmin smelt throu a veil of violets, but it is a well done composition , with somewhat greenish jasmine in the opening (to me it smelled rather predictive kind of jasmin), but after just a few minutes turned into a delightful layers evening garden jasmine smell with a bit of everything listed thrown in (appearing at different time as the scent develops). My personal favorite of the line is Ombre Bleue, bacuse it smells like no other perfume I have tried so far, oceanic but nor fresh and not banal. They say the best of the line is Violette Menthe and I would agree. But since I adore jasmin and you asked about this particular one, if you like jasmin you’ll like this one, it’s quiet but so facetted, thaht you’ll want it in your collection. highly recommendable!
plus the prices are normal, almost cheap by parfumista standards!!! enjoy!
