Giorgio Armani will launch Armani Code for women in April:
Armani Code for women, created by Carlos Benaim of IFF, features orange blossom as its main ingredient and includes notes of jasmine and vanilla. (via cosmeticnews)
Update: see a review of Armani Code for women.
Diesel, the Italian jeans line, has signed a fragrance licensing deal with L'Oreal. The first fragrance is scheduled to appear in early 2007. (via cosmeticsinternational) No word on what will become of the existing Diesel fragrances, but I am still seeing them regularly at TJ Maxx.
Nice to have you back, R – hope you had a nice day off. I love the shape of the Armani bottle (I think I may have bought the original Mania mainly for the bottle!) – and the juice sounds reassuringly unfruity. Diesel scents often surprise me – the presentation is so tacky/gimmicky, but the juice can be excellent!
Thanks N! Completely agree on the Diesels, they were interesting scents. The SAs in the Diesel store near me, however, knew zero about them and didn't seem to care much either.
The Armani Code sounds like Vanilla Coke, with a twist of orange. OK, I'm stretching it a bit, but still. Doesn't sound interesting. They must really be holding back on revealing the ingredients. Or maybe it really is that boring.
L, it does sound a bit dull, but have a feeling we'll see a longer list of notes when it gets closer to release.
I was at my local perfume shop here and my sales associate (that I chat with regularly) said they had a big meeting within their company and that they got to get a preview sniff of Armani Code for women, she said that it is really something special.
Good then, I like orange blossom & will look forward to trying it!
