Pacific Paradise (shown), the latest limited edition fragrance from Escada, is now available at sephora. The notes include kaffir lime, dried victoria apple, coconut sorbet, physalis fruit, sugar candy, banana flower, Hawaiian salt blossom, sandalwood, powdery musk, and amber crystals.
Escada Pacific Paradise is an Eau de Toilette and is available in 100 ml. Update: a description of Pacific Paradise from escentual:
Lush, sensual, and full of fun, it's a beach party for the senses. As exhilarating as dancing in the waves and as enticing as bikini days and balmy nights. A joyful place that warms the soul and liberates the senses, letting you bask in a felling of freedom and fun, passion and magic. A fruity-citrus-floral fragrance that beats with the heart and soul of a tropical paradise.
New at lusciouscargo: Diptyque Do Son, room sprays in Coing, Feu de Bois, Giroflier, and Safran, and the Feu de Bois candle.
Sean Combs personally delivered the first shipment of his new fragrance, Unforgivable, to Saks yesterday. (via Women's Wear Daily)
Yay! P. Diddy is out with a perfume. I am not holding my breath though. Hope it is success for him (like he needs the extra cash!) ;D
P. Ditty's notes sound pretty good. Love bergamot and my fave base notes too. I'll be waiting for the EDT though.
:O)
It's a wonder that Escada bothers with a “new” tropical/fruity summer scent each year. They are interchangeable. I suppose it is for marketing reasons.
N, the notes don't sound all bad…but it does feature “Mediterranean air” so could be very ozonic — we shall see! It certainly isn't cheap 😉
V, You & me both 🙂
And he'll have a women's next fall. Wonder what he'll call it…
Am I crazy, or is this one early? Didn't we already get one over the summer?
The notes in the Escada sound horrific to me. If they'd set out to find a combination of things to put me off, they couldn't have done much better than this! 'Dried victoria apple'? 'Coconut sorbet'? Ah well, someone will love it and buy it…
It IS early for a “summer” scent! I saw it at Nordstrom last week. My daughter spritzed it on, and I couldn't tell the difference from this year's scent.
Oh dear, with a name like “Unforgivable,” P. Diddy had better hope it's not a stinker. I can already see the review headlines incorporating the name now. I'm not a fan of “his” music, though, so perhaps I'm already biased towards anything he creates.
Same here, N, they lost me after Kaffir lime…
That is so true! I am so out of it that I've never even heard his music *crawls back under rock*
Maybe it is for the “resort wear” crowd…
Yes, you have, you just don't realize it. For example, you've heard The Police's Every Breath You Take, right? Now just imagine listening to it with some idiot groaing mumbles and words over the top of it. That is pretty much it as far as his “songwriting” goes.
LOL — that, I don't need to hear.
The Escada sounds nice – they always do – but I agree with IrisLA – why do they keep doing this? It must be terribly expensive to keep creating and marketing all these short-run fragrances that just go away at the end of the season. I have yet to find one of theirs memorable, so I guess that's the point. I am a fan of classic fragrances – if I like something, chances are it has been around for 50 years, and for a good reason.
Perhaps it isn't terribly expensive: they've used the same old Escada bottle, and am guessing they don't invest the same time or money developing the fragrance that say, Chanel did 50 years ago. I remember reading a very old quote from Estee Lauder — she said basically that you had to give a new perfume a couple of years to find its audience. We know the big companies don't do that any more!
Actually, I find this terribly effective and addictive (please, help….me!) as I find myself trying to collect every one of them. Good for them but bad for me. It's a higly expensive habit.
Hi, I'm new here.
To be honest I love the sweet fruity scents of Escada's limited edition fragrances (Rockin' Rio being my favourite) however I can't seem to find this scent in an eau de parfum form (the closest I can get is J. Lo Live). Does anyone know any scents that are similar?
I'm real interested in this year's edition.
Welcome! Can't think of anything *exactly* like the Escadas in EdP, and since sweet & fruity isn't my favorite category, I may not be much help. Have you tried Miss Dior Cherie?
Thanks,
I'll try that out someday. 🙂
Love this perfume! All of Escada’s summer limited editions are very nice and sweet 😉 Very good summer fragrances! Even in winter, you’ll get that summer feeling when using the perfume!
I like wearing summer scents in winter too!
