Be is the debut scent for Becker.eshaya, a collaboration between John Eshaya and Kristen Becker:
With a light Italian mandarin top note, and undertones of rose, pink peony and lily of the valley that are finished with white musk, the effect is fresh and clean, not overbearing or intimidating. (via Women's Wear Daily)
Be is available at beautyhabit or at Ron Herman boutiques in Los Angeles. Update: see a review of Becker.eshaya Be.
Davidoff will launch Cool Water Game in Europe in spring 2006:
Cool Water Game for Him contains top notes of grapefruit, watermelon, and basil verbena leaves. Its heart is of blackcurrant giving into a base of cedar wood and patchouli. Cool Water Game for Her opens with fruity notes of apple and lemon continuing into a heart of water lily and freesia. The juice closes with notes of sandalwood, cedar wood and musk. Eau des 7 Fleurs is new from L'Occitane, and features notes of narcissus, rose, jasmine, tuberose, mimosa, iris and neroli. (via L'Occitane)
cool water game? – what is this? why would they feel that game was a good choice of names? This trend of designer variations is baffling…
M, Game…I guess it is a sport thing? What do I know. I'm sure they did a focus group first, right?
I would have loved Be, I think, a couple of years ago because it has a lot of my favorite floral notes. Now my taste is so hopelessly convoluted that I have no idea what the heck I'm going to like next. However, I will try to sample this. It couldn't hurt.
L, the woman in the partnership was somehow involved with Kai, and so I expect it will have the same sort of California-clean floral vibe. I hope to try it too.
