Everlast will release Original 1910, their first fragrance, in March:
Original 1910 combines top notes of mandarin, mint, grapefruit and lavender with a heart of geranium, nutmeg, cypress and cinnamon, and base notes of patchouli, leather, tonka bean and musk. It was blended by Givaudan's Antoine Lie. (via Women's Wear Daily)
Everlast Original 1910 is an Eau de Toilette, and is available in 50 and 100 ml.
The rumored new fragrance from Serge Lutens, Gris Clair, has now appeared on ebay, so we can probably count on seeing it added to the export line sometime soon. The notes might turn out to be lavender and ashes. Update: see more information on Serge Lutens Gris Clair here.
Doesn't SL already make a lavender/incense? Encens et Lavande… wonder if this will be similar?
My apologies…misread something in french, and that is actually lavender & ashes/cinders, whatever that means 🙂
The launch has been confirmed as being in March 2006. 🙂
I would use 'ashes' rather than 'cinders' because 'ash-coloured' means 'gris cendrĂ©', i.e. 'gris clair' – more or less, just slightly darker. There is no colour association with the word 'cinders'.
J, I originally put “incense”, which I picked up (or misread, more likely) on some French board. Can't seem to get this one right!
I rather like the name – it's got an 'Iris Silver Mist' feel to it! Do we know for sure about the lavender? I'm kind of hoping for iris…
I was hoping for iris too, but it looks like that is not how it is going to work out — of course, it is all still in the rumor stage. Maybe we'll get lucky.
