New fragrances from Ralph Lauren, Anthony Logistics

Posted by Robin on 18 November 2005 10 Comments

Ralph Hot by Ralph Lauren will launch in March. The juice, by perfumer Pierre Negrin, is the line's first gourmand:

In the top notes, the cinnamon is combined with almond blossoms and mandarin; the mocha cream in the middle accord is accented with orchid, honeysuckle, jasmine, fresh milk and fig notes, and the maple in the drydown is complemented with creamy vanilla, amber, musk and sandalwood.

Update: see a review of Ralph Lauren Ralph Hot.

Anthony Logistics for men will launch four body sprays around Christmas: "Energy is based on cardamom, Courage on amber, Spirit on green tea and Strength on incense." Look for them at Bath & Body Works and Sephora. (both above via Women's Wear Daily)

Is it just my imagination or is there now a whole wave of new cardamom-including perfs out there?

    I love cardamom.

Hi Robin – Ralph Hot sounds awesome! All the notes I adore. March is tooooo far away so make sure you give us the scoop on where to get it earlier. Also, I loved the pie chart and knew that you would cave yesterday! haha. You go girl and enjoy! My pie chart looks a lot like yours ;0)

March may be far away, but 'Hot' already has four stars in MUA! (From someone repeating this copy, and anticipating what it will smell like, presumably.) Honestly.

Glad I'm not the only one!

Not sure what to think of Ralph Hot…could be a great comfort scent, could be way, way too sweet. We shall see!

Wow, that is crazy — you would think the star rating system would discourage people from reviewing things they had never smelled, but no.

Interesting…gourmand seems just so “not Ralph.”

But the times they are a-changin'….

K, it does seem very un-Ralph-ish, but I'm sure they can't afford *not* to jump on the gourmand bandwagon.

Hmmm… a gourmand scent called “Ralph Hot.” Too much vomit imagery for me. (But those notes do sound yummy.) :-)

Ralph Cool works much better, doesn't it?
