The latest limited edition from Guerlain, L'Instant Eau de Noel, is shown at right. The scent will feature citrus honey, magnolia, amber, and an added note of iris. Coming soon to sephora.
Jalaine Silk features notes of vanilla, amber, and white musk, and is already available at aedes.
I really love the calligraphic design on this bottle. Wonder why they chose l'Instant (with iris added!) for a Noel-related product? Iris seems to be THE thing among perfumers these days, so maybe I just answered my own question.
Morning L. It would take a lot more than a touch of iris to warm L'Instant up to Christmas levels, so it will be interesting to see if they tinker with it more than the ad copy implies 🙂
I am hoping that the Noel version will be richer than the regular one, what that scent needs is a bit of an oomph 🙂 Jalaine Silk sound very pleasant though, must try.
Agree that a bit of oomph would help, and can't decide if iris is likely to accomplish it. We shall see!
Ohhhh I'll be trying the new Jalaine Silk at Aedes one week from today!
:O)

Let me know what you think, V! I know you are fonder of the Jalaines than I am — just as well, I can't afford them 🙂
I thought Jalaine perfumes were discontinued?
The Bagutta Life brand was discontinued, then came back as Jalaine 🙂
Love the L'Instant Noel bottle! Very pretty. Doubt that I'll like the the scent though – I really loathe L'Instant, and I don't think adding iris will help (and I like iris). Not sure what it is that bothers me about L'Instant, but the couple of times I tried it, I had to scrub it off. I found the honey/vanilla notes very syrupy heavy and cloying.
Is this new variation supposed to be for the holiday season? I'm puzzled.
I don't loathe L'Instant, but I've never wanted to own it either. This one doesn't sound very winter-holidays, does it? Perhaps there is more to it than is evident on the Sephora website….would have guessed they would punch up the warm amber notes.
Does anyone which fragrance house created this one? I know Symrise did the original.
I'm afraid I have no idea!
