Blogger loses electricity for 17 hours…

Posted by Robin on 7 June 2005 14 Comments

We had a bad storm here last night, and our electricity has just now been restored. It is too late in the day for me to pull a decent post together. At the moment, I am just happy to have air conditioning and internet access again.

Please come back tomorrow, when Marlen, one of the moderators on the basenotes forum, will join me in a He Says/She Says review of Creed Royal Water.

At first I thought you meant Blogger, the Google-owned application, had lost electricity, and here I was saying, “No, it's been working all day!” Because I'm an idiot. Glad you're back online.

Nice to see you back, R! I kept looking for your new post all morning – can't start the day w/o it. Keep cool!

Sorry you lost electricity, that can be so frustrating. Especially with kids, too. Overly frequent queries of “When is it coming back, mom” gets real old real fast, and they never quite understand the answers of “soon” and “it'll be on when it's on, we just have to wait.”

I'm rubbing my hands in anticipation for tomorrow's entry – sounds like a fun read! :)

I wish Google would rename Blogger. It is bad enough that they are taking over the rest of the world, they could at least leave the one generic term for the rest of us ;-)

Our main point of contention was over his breakfast: a slice of dry bread and a banana, since I refused to open the refrigerator. He was not a happy camper!
