Online shopping notes

Luckyscent now has Costes, the fragrance created by Olivia Giacobetti for the Hotel Costes.

And thanks to Scentsational on the basenotes forum for pointing out that Lusciouscargo now has the Lorenzo Villoresi line in a 50 ml size.

Anybody know and like or not like Costes? I am an on and off fan of Olivia Giacobetti, so am curious.

Morning L, I am a huge OG fan, but did not love the first whiff of Costes from a test strip at Takashimaya. Didn't try it on skin since my arm was already full up with fragrance. I need to get a real sample one of these days. Notes: white pepper, rose, coriander seeds, lavender, laurel, wood, incense and musk. It might have been the lavender that put me off…it was otherwise soft & woodsy.

    Hey there, R!

I just tried my sample of Costes last night…did not like it! There are other spicey scents that I like much better. It's the standard sample vial from one of the etailers, and plenty left for a couple of days of sampling; I would love to send it to you!

If you'd like it, send me your address off-line or through MUA.

Happy Holiday! Oh, and I am so jealous of your NYC trip! My brother lives there & I try to visit as often as I can; last time was Oct.—lovelovelove that city!

    Have lots of fun!

I love Costes and I'm not a lavender fan, I don't notice it. It's just warm and spicy. This was another one I had a very hard time tracking down, For awhile there no one in the US had it. I bought mine from Browns in London. They carry the full line and for less too. Except the shipping is a killer.

That's good news about the smaller sizes of LV at luscious Cargo. The only place I found them before was Lafco NY.

I do wish Takashimaya had a website! They have such a wonderful selection of hard-to-find fragrances. I think they are the only ones in the US that carry Detaille, and they have more Fragonard than anyone.
