Serge Lutens will launch La Fille de Berlin, a new fragrance in the "Selective Distribution" series (formerly known as the export range), in February.
La Fille de Berlin is a rose-based floriental fragrance, and is being launched in conjunction with his upcoming book of photography, Berlin à Paris.
Serge Lutens La Fille de Berlin will be available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: La Fille de Berlin, which "aims to conjure a thorny wild spring rose, powdery and peppery", will be the only new launch from Serge Lutens this year. (via wwd)
Another update: see a review of La Fille de Berlin.
Is it unisex?
Nearly all Lutens scents skew unisex, so I’m betting yes.
I don’t think they give gender classifications to them anyway, regardless of how people perceive them.
yay! can’t wait! wearing jeux de peau today…Serge is a master!
🙂
I can wear any Lutens in which amber isn’t listed as a note. Seriously. Looking forward to trying this rose!
Hard to be sure of since they never list notes, so good luck!
I have a few places I go to get the notes post-release, if it says amber, it’s a no go. But pre-release I can get excited with the caveat that I might not even be able to wear it.
Just please…no cedar drydown. So sick of that note with SL
I am so looking forward to this one. It’s supposed to have a peppery note.
Love the idea of a peppery rose..I wasn’t a fan of Sa Majesite La Rose, the only rose I’ve tried from SL. I hope this is much better. If not, someone else should do rose and pepper and have it smell amazing! I haven’t had much luck with the SLs I’ve tried so far. I only like Feminite Du Bois so far out of several I’ve tried. Miel de Bois smelled like pet cages at the pet store, LOL.
OJ Ta’if is a peppery rose. It’s pretty nice too, as far as roses go, anyway.
I will check it out! Thanks!
It’s hard to get, but Baie Rose 26 by Le Labo is a genuine peppery rose. BR26 is only sold in Chicago but there is a split open at the moment on Facebook Fragrance Friends.
Le Labo’s Rose 31 is a bit peppery, but also very cumin-y. Caron’s Parfum Sacre is another option, more spicey than peppery to my nose, and I find the rose a bit sour.
And yes, Ormonde Jayne’s Ta’if. I don’t love it myself but it has many fans.
Le Labo seems to musky and the freesia in the OJ may be a setback for me but still may check that one out.
Not feeling the excitement here.
Peppery rose just screams boring. And metallic rose screams Rossy de Palma.
I get that. I will always give a new SL a sniff, but they are very hit and miss for me.
I wish I could get some Rosarium! Now, *that* was a ROSE perfume to die for!
