From the Winter Collection at Carrière Frères, the Siberian Pine & Winter Rose Candle. The parade of holiday candles continues (after a brief interruption) with DS & Durga's Lightable Latkes. "The scent of Chanukah is the scent of frying latkes. This candle smells like a real deal Holyfield potato in all its earthen glory. As the candle burns, it starts to smell cooked- in an agreeable way. Like the fanciest latke frying in a background of verdant olive & peanut oil (a special recipe)." $65 for 198g at Luckyscent.
Another holiday candle option, this one from Parfums de Nicolaï. "Pain d’épices is a happy blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves whose addictive and mellow facets envelop you in sweetness." 190g for €48.
From Fragonard, a limited edition holiday collection decorated by British artist Lizzie Riches and intended as a tribute to 16th century English painting and gardens. Shown are the three candles: Bois Dormant (above left; "Like a bonfire, this candle's flame dances cheerily in its exquisite jar and fills the house with a woody fragrance"), Cette Nuit Là (above center; "...fills the night with a welcoming fragrance redolent of pine needles") and Orangette (above right; "Cinnamon has been blended with orange to create a candle with sweet notes evoking the festive period"). €31 each for 200g.
Otherland has two candle collections out for the holidays: Adorned and Gilded.
