I love summer. Yes, I’ll complain about the heat like everyone else, but I’d rather bake than freeze any day. Plus, the fruit! Even if you don’t like summer, you have to admit that the abundant variety of fresh fruits (that haven’t been flown in from another continent) is worth a little extra sweat on your brow. Captivated by the spellbinding scent of frangipani

After my mother died I needed to get away and traveled to Mauritius and became captivated by the spellbinding scent of frangipani that evoked the emotion of a dream within me. I brought one of the flowers back with me to show Isabelle [Doyen], but it died on my trip back. Luckily when I showed her the flower she was very familiar with it since she lived in Tahiti. It took five years to perfect the fragrance and to balance the sun, the moon, the tree, and the flower.

Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2017, part 6

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today’s post includes special edition bottles from Annick Goutal, Jo Malone, Christian Dior and Paco Rabanne, plus a new Eau de Toilette version of Shiseido Ever Bloom.
