Indie brand DS & Durga has launched The Most Festive Cologne Of All Time, a new limited edition holiday fragrance.
Be the toast of all tomorrow's parties. A festive blast of citrus, conifers, and bracing spices.

"Holiday parties are the best. Their aesthetic seems to me to have peaked in the 60s. Think Don Draper crushing Manhattans in Manhattan, Betty under the mistletoe, jazz, canapes, gold and green ties all in the name of Yuletide cheer. This is the cologne I'd wear to that party." — D.S.
The notes include neroli, clove, bergamot, pine, valencia orange, mandarin flower, cedar and nutmeg.
DS & Durga The Most Festive Cologne Of All Time is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum, $210.

Notes sound good; however, there is something about D.S. & Durga that feels unfinished, as if the juice was rushed in order to launch at a specific date. I could say the same for many perfumes these days …
Yes — I think that’s the aesthetic they’re going for anyway. I would say the same as Tauer…not that Tauer fragrances feel rushed but I think of both brands as not interested in smelling like mainstream perfumery.
I just spent a few moments wondering what new slang I’m missing with “ca napes.” Sorry, now I get it. 😉
Also, the phrase “all tomorrow’s parties” is one heck of a weird reference in this context.
Ha, I did not even notice it!
And in fact the line on their site is broken right there…I am going to fix it.
This sounds nice to me, but I have too many samples to plow through at this point!
