French fashion and luxury house Celine will launch Zouzou, a new gourmand fragrance, in June.
"I wished to create a perfume about utopic adolescence, capturing an ideal of eternal youth. The recklessness of the young French writer Françoise Sagan, the ingenue boyishness of Jean Seberg filmed by Jean Luc Godard, the magnificent heroines of the Velvet Underground, together with the young women I was able to photograph more than 20 years ago.
I called my new perfume for Celine “Zouzou”, an affectionate and child-like nickname that appeared in the last century to describe a young woman with short hair." — Hedi Slimane
The notes include benzoin, tonka bean, patchouli, labdanum, vanilla and musk.
Celine Zouzou will be available in 100 and 200 ml Eau de Parfum.

Sounds delicious. Too bad it probably won’t show up in the US.
Sorry to say I have no idea what Celine’s distribution is…
While they don’t have a strong retail presence in America, the Celine US site sells a discovery kit for under fifty dollars. They also include a mini of whatever full-size fragrance you buy and ask you to use that one first, so you can return the full size if you don’t like it.
Not a perfect system, but it helps!
Thanks!
Thanks, FDS!
This sounds absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to smell it.
All of the line smells wonderful to me. Two fragrances stood out to me more than all of the others in the collection, but I would not purchase any of them, as lovely as they all smelled.
The scents are very fleeting, within a few hours it’s barely a skin whisper.
I’ll stick to their accessories, clothes and footwear.
If this helps, the fragrance associate at Celine on Madison Avenue mentioned that the scents are all supposed to be within the tradition of the brand. Very understated.
