No, it's not perfume, but I'll take a Year of the Dragon Hat Box from La Maison du Chocolat anyway: "Celebrate the 2024 Year of the Dragon with the finest chocolate. For this Lunar year we selected the perfect combination of sweet and savory pieces that are sure to please when gifted, with company, or by yourself." With Gesture Gift Box 16 pieces, Flavored Truffle Gift Box 13 Pieces, Madagascar Tonique 67% Bar and Passion Vibrante Bar, all in a red hatbox, $275 (well, let's hope the dragon is feeling prosperous).

If memory serves LMdC makes excellent cocolate. I purchased some in Paris in the mid-eighties, but the price… it used to be more affordable than that.
Well, this is a pretty big set, but yes, it’s expensive! A 15 piece Valentine’s Day heart is $60, so definitely upper end.
There was (maybe used to) a boutique in the 70s on Madison Ave. As much as I am indulgent, $275 for chocolate is a little rich for me. 🤑
I think it is still there, and there are now other NYC boutiques as well.
Ohhh, I can only aspire to eat chocolate that costs more than rent did for my first apartment in 1988. Me thinks I’m stuck in “M&M Life” in perpetuity…
LOL!!! Excellent comparison shopping.
Don’t go to their website. Just saying. The photographer who made the photos of flat brown squares look positively pornograhic is in a realm of their own.
🙂
They do make great chocolate.
I remember buying that Angel chocolate set in maybe 2018 that was incredible. But I would rather a slice of pie than a box of chocolate.
