French ceramics brand Astier de Villatte has launched two new fragrances, Delhi and Mantes La Jolie.
Delhi ~ "A spicy, mystical plunge into the winding, chaotic streets of the old city. Amid the sounds of car horns, rickshaws and mopeds, the maelstrom of smells from the bazaars and the smoke of incense from sacred sites, the atmosphere is sultry and effervescent. Suddenly, a divine fragrance fills the air: a gust of heady, sun-kissed champaca, warm, sensual myrrh, the woody, smoky, earthy accents of patchouli and vetiver, mingled with the sweet notes of rose petals, peppery cardamom and fruity green bergamot." Additional notes include orange blossom and red cedar.
Mantes La Jolie ~ "On a hot summer’s day, take a morning stroll by the majestic collegiate and down the narrow historic streets of the town. From the market stalls wafts a delicious scent of freshly-picked aromatic herbs: mint and bergamot, with its distinctly lemony aroma, the crisp, green notes of eucalyptus leaves and fig mingled with the honeyed fragrance of spicy ginger, sun-drenched Arabian jasmine and herbaceous maté. The fresh, invigorating scent lingers on the skin for a long time." Additional notes include basil, blackcurrant and cedar.
Astier de Villatte Delhi and Mantes La Jolie can be found now at Aedes, in 10, 30 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

These are the most intriguing (to me) fragrances I’ve heard about for quite a while. And even their 30 ml and 10 ml bottles are cute.
Very cute! Love that they do 10 ml, and happy that Aedes has them.
Mmm, count me in for samples of those! I have 10 ml sizes of Aphelie and Bruma and enjoyed them this summer.
Oh, where is my mind? Those are Trudon. 😑
They are both French houses, so it’s easy to get confused 😉
🙂
I get those two mixed up also.
Maybe it’s the candles? 🤔
LuckyScent (no affiliation, just a frequent flyer) seems to have samples of many of their perfumes, altho not these two new ones…
They just appeared on Aedes today, guessing Luckyscent will get them eventually.
Curious to try these! I liked Tucson but that’s the last one I tried.
A little late to this party but wearing Mantes La Jolie today and I absolutely love it! The violet color threw me off as it was a fresh, green scent. The opening is just that—fresh. Mint, lemon, fig leaves and bright bergamot are ever so gently wrapped with eucalyptus. I get a bit of pine / fir but that note isn’t listed. It’s so beautifully balanced and watery that this is the only cologne type fragrance I’ll probably ever wear. The best part is after it settles, I get lily of the valley or water lily (not so much jasmine). During this phase it slightly reminds of FM’s Synthetic Jungle only Mantes La Jolie is way more sophisticated and subtle. If you like citrus/mint/water floral (or synthetic jungle) I’d check this one out.
