Juliette Has A Gun will launch Ode to Dullness, a new fragrance.
Imagined and created by Romano Ricci, great-grandson of Nina Ricci, Ode to Dullness brings poetry to the ordinary. It’s a creamy composition of badiane [star anise], cashmere flower, sandalwood, and tonka bean—an indisputably cozy scent. Behind the apparent dullness often lies the extraordinary.
***
If dullness often has a pejorative interpretation in the west, it invites a completely different sense in Asia. Instead of being a synonym of boringness or insipidity, it displays an array of softness and poetic reflection, inviting us to slow down in the fast-paced life we live in.
Juliette Has A Gun Ode to Dullness will be available in 7.5, 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m honored to have a perfume so obviously inspired by me. 🤣
*snort*🤣 Really though, what a name…?!
LOL!!
If they do “at home in socks and sweatpants” I’ll buy a bottle, I swear.
Sounds like Robin has the right idea!
Obviously the name sounds so much better in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and /or Vietnamese they couldn’t resist the marketing opportunity. One wonders what the ad copy in those other languages says…
The bottle is growing on me. I wonder what it smells like. I have a friend who says, “I love dull! I seek out dull”! She means dull=complete lack of Drama and B.S. Not so bad…
Oh I love dull too. I will smell this when I see it.
All I can say is, insipidity is very much my word of the day. ❤️
