Artist Andrea Maack will launch Supernova, a new unisex fragrance, next month.
Supernova is an exploration around the smell of a visual explosion in space, the optical luminosity of a supernova.
Moving into the darker months in Iceland, the mood shifts swiftly from the endless summer night to the mystical fall with bright stars gazing in the sky twirled in the purple hues of the Aurora Borealis.
The woody oud fragrance was developed by perfumer Julien Rasquinet. The notes include cardamom, cinnamon, saffron, lavender, cypress, cedar, vetiver, leather and oud.
Andrea Maack Supernova will be available in 15 or 50 ml Extrait de Parfum.

Update: the description from the email newsletter...
The top notes, led by the cardamon and saffron take us to the highlands, where the stars gaze during the fall months. From the warmth of lavander [sic] combined with cedar emanates an energetic radiation, similar to that released by a supernova. As if a bond was recreated between man and cosmos, with the leather at the bottom representing the darkness of space.
