Penhaligon’s has launched The Omniscient Mr Thompson, a new addition to the brand's Portraits collection.
Step aside, Mr Bond, there’s a new spy in town.
Hailing from Penhaligons’ scandalous Portraits collection, The Omniscient Mr Thompson is a man of few words. A reassuring gentleman by day but master spy at night, he’s everywhere and nowhere; strong but subtle. His eponymous eau de parfum, then, is as elusive as he is, with smoky, statement-making notes of rum and leather being calmed by vanilla and sesame milk.
Additional notes include lavandin, pink and black pepper, elemi, geranium, orris and oakwood.
Penhaligon’s The Omniscient Mr Thompson is available at Harrods in the UK, in 75 ml Eau de Parfum, £220.

wow! That elephant is going to help sell a lot of bottles. 🐘🐘🐘 Don’t know what to think about the sesame milk note, tho 🤪😅
I agree on both points!
Elephants are a big selling point!
Rum + a milky & nutty note sounds good to me. Somehow I doubt that is what it is going to smell like.
How much?! So sad that Penhaligon’s is no longer the company it used to be. No longer do they do small leather goods (I have a change purse & a jewellery roll) nor their gorgeous Christmas decorations, each of which over the years I have sent to a very dear friend in Texas who loves them.
The price is crazy to me…
They of course literally are ‘no longer the company they used to be’ since they were bought out by Puig 8 years ago & are now just one small part of Puig’s portfolio. I assume that if the leather goods/decorations had sold well & made big profits they would still be doing them.
