Basically if Cire Trudon makes something new, I want it. Here is Tuileries, celebrating Trudon's 380th anniversary. "The Tuileries collection finds its inspiration in a rare document kept at the French National Archives: the Gazette des Atours de la Reine. In what seems like an ordinary notebook, countess Geneviève d’Ossun – a French courtier who served as lady-in-waiting and first maid of honor to Marie Antoinette – gathered many fabric samples used to tailor the sovereigns’ many dresses and royal outfits. The fragrance was conceived as an homage to the rose, the Queen’s favorite flower throughout her life." Additional notes for the fruity floral chypre include pink pepper, blackcurrant, mandarin, white flowers, raspberry, geranium, musk, patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla. Candles in 4 sizes ($55 - $690) or diffuser ($250), at Trudon.

This looks and sounds gorgeous. I have a 1 candle out, 2 candles in informal policy, but veerrryy tempting.
It is tempting. I am not going to bite though.
Hi Robin! *hugs*
There was a movie (Farewell, My Queen) made about a royal servant who was basically the vox of the Queen and also did an embrodiered sample of flowers for her- I think that was what the story above was referring to!
Thank you!
And I had forgotten that movie, I bet I saw it when it first came out. I should watch it again.
Oh I would love to page through and examine a notebook like that. A real treasure trove of personal information.
I do like the pink color of these candles, but I’m currently inundated with candles ( many past lemmings lol) so I’m good.
You can find bits of it online, but if there is a free site with the whole book I don’t know it personally.
