Italian niche line Acqua di Parma has launched Blu Mediterraneo Arancia La Spugnatura, a limited edition variation on 1999's Arancia di Capri. Arancia La Spugnatura follows 2021's Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura.
Acqua di Parma introduces the antique method of La Spugnatura to the Arancia Vaniglia citrus fruit, by extracting precious essences that express the fruit in all its depth and richness. The uplifting, sunny notes of lemon and mandarin are contrasted by notes of bitter almond and crisp injections of black pepper that add volume and texture to the creation. A light touch of cedar wood and sensual notes of musk lend the fragrance an enveloping base. Embodying the bittersweet symphony of the Sicilian orange, the fragrance, created by master perfumer Francois Demachy, is an equilibrium of contrasts that unfolds a surprising olfactive experience.
[...] The porcelain bottle and cap are refined through deliberate and intricate hand-crafted processes. Set in an intense blue colour reminiscent of the Blu Mediterraneo collection, the shiny porcelain pieces are then individually decorated by hand with white, orange, and gold motifs.
Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Arancia La Spugnatura is available now at John Lewis in the UK, £157 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Gorgeous bottle! I liked the bottle for Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura as well.
It is pretty!
Interesting, I thought Demachy retired, but looks like he’s still working.
He retired from Dior, but perhaps he is still working elsewhere, or perhaps this is an older composition, don’t know.
Thank you Robin, this sounds great, I love Arancia Di CaprI, what a pretty bottle.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
