French niche line Room 1015 has launched Sonic Flower, a new fragrance.
"There's no such thing as "a girl in a band", but there is definitively a thing as THE girl in the band. Sonic Flower tells the story of front women who embrace music and transform how we produce and listen to it. Let the flower capture your attention with its singular ability to stimulate your imagination". Dr. Mike
The lipstick’s on. PINK PEPPER is the colour of the day. That clean yet dirty ORRIS smell of powder. Here to stay. She crashes JASMINE PETALS in her gin. The stage is waiting, let the game begin. A tender CASHMERE shawl embraces shoulders like a cage. It tames the Lioness, all ready to enrage. Her SKIN is sweet. Their eyes are hungry. Lights off. She breaks the silence with the chord. The Sonic Flower. Let them stare in awe.
Purple Mantra was developed by perfumer Jérôme Epinette. Additional notes include carrot seeds, ambroxan and musk.
Room 1015 Sonic Flower is available in 10 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m sorry. Dr. Mike? Dr. Mike. Nope. No. Definitely not. Reading the back story on the house—it doesn’t sound like he is the nose—well, I am not the audience for the Dr. Mikes of this world who are nostalgic for white guys with well-coiffed hair, smashing guitars and hurling tvs from hotel windows.
The perfume may be amazing. Has anyone sampled it?
(I actually know a real Dr. Mike, who founded a beautiful
camp, free for everyone, for children with cancer and survivors, and their siblings. The camp has (well, sadly had—the fires two summers ago that destroyed communities across California destroyed Camp Okizu) He’s a pediatric oncologist at Stanford with a huge heart. He’s “Dr. Mike” for the kids who all have dozens of doctors already, to be approachable but still really able to help. Whew. Okay. Stepping gingerly down from my soapbox. 🤨)
Aw, I like your Dr. Mike! He must be this doctor:

Yes! Thanks for taking my wackadoodle over-the-top response in stride. After raging against the light, I realized I actually know and love an actual Dr. Mike 🙂 Both my boys attended Okizu for over a decade, my youngest since he was six (yes six, he could because of the infirmary!) years old. My oldest went on to be a dishie and then a counselor.
Not fully crushed by current events and want more?; this could do it–from 2020: https://abc7news.com/camp-okizu-bear-fire-destroys-for-childen-with-cancer-burned-butte-county/8021666/
Hey, we specialize in wackadoodle over-the-top responses here. This is a perfume blog, how can you not read perfume descriptions all the time and blow your top every so often?
They look like a great organization plus they have good ratings. Just sent them a small donation.
Verklempt.
