I'm guessing a few of you might want one? A 27 day (December 5 to December 31) advent calendar from Chanel in biodegradable paper pulp packaging, and including a number of items (a snow globe, keychain, a tree ornament, a magnetic bookmark, a bracelet, etc) that aren't usually for sale. It's $825, and possibly sold out already but you could call your local Chanel counter.

Well that’s pricey – I’d want more cosmetics and perfumes than what I can see, in addition to the baubles. Overall it has a fun feel, but I am not a Chanel Superfan.
I’m not either 🙂
There’s a whole bunch of stickers in there… $825?
Yep.
I’m definitely feeling the pull this year to have some swanky advent calendar to chase away December darkness, but I suspect this won’t be the one. Maybe I will go in another direction and get a Beer Advent instead…?
Love the beer idea. Seriously.
As a rule, high-end Advent calendars have a *lot* of stuff I’d never use: the l’Occitaine ones are always nice but most of it is just not for me, ditto the Lush and Atelier Cologne (which actually showed up last year in Sephora and tempted me but little once I got a look at it).
But I already have this year’s Advent calendar anyway: 24 12-mL bottles of fountain-pen ink and, for the 25th, a one-ounce bottle, all sorts of unique colours and finishes. Can’t wait for December 1st. https://phidonpens.com/products/diamine-inkvent-calendar-2021-red-edition
That looks both luxurious and fun!
Don’t laugh – last year we got both a Beer Advent Calendar and a Wine Advent Calendar from Aldi’s, both were great! Will do so again if offered. ?
I’m stopping at Aldi’s…
I bought cheese Advent calendars there for my mother and then-boyfriend.
I feel like grumpy bear, but can’t help thinking what exactly the point of biodegradable packaging is with so much plastic inside the packaging.
Perhaps for the superfan collector this is a wonderful keepsake.
For the rest I strongly suspect half of this will end up in landfill. And it’s not fair to grump at Chanel – similar applies to lots of other brands.
Agree
Would rather have the Guerlain for $700 which has 8 travel sprays, 6 candles, multiple soaps, etc. etc. 🙂

Yep!
Yes, me too!
I’m in New York today. I was naughty.
???
I love it!
What happens in NYC should stay on NST!
Lol!?
Enjoy it! 🙂
BTW, our Bergdorf SA is pushing me to buy Kadine. 🙂 So far not biting.
I’m having such an awful day, that I told myself I should just buy this. Then I saw the price, lol. Maybe I will find something to buy at the discounters.
I hope your day gets better. Mine hasn’t been great either. Maybe we both need a beer advent calendar. ?
Sorry to hear that your day stunk today. ?
Sorry about your crappy day, hope things get better asap!
Okay, this is very pretty and some of the doodads are very appealing, but TBH, one could create a much better Chanel Advent calendar by buying minis and getting samples of Chanel fragrances, and putting them into one’s own Advent calendar. Which one could also decorate with as many Chanel logos and fonts as desired.
This works!
This could work for perfumes, samples, decants, in so many ways! You’ve just saved me money and created an awesome calender. Early Christmas prese, too!
I made a sample advent calendar for my best friend two years ago. I bought fancy black envelopes from the wedding section at Michaels, labelled each with a number using a gold sharpie, and then tucked in a niche sample and its description. She loved it, and I got rid of 24 samples I no longer needed. She ended up buying a full bottle of 34 Boulevard Saint Germaine as a result.
Is it ok if I steal this idea? I have a co-worker who is just getting into fragrances and this sounds awesome!
Of course! It’s really fun to make.
What a great idea! I usually gift samples in boring little envelopes. This sounds like such a treat.
