From this collection I’m most interested in the tomato candle, but I wish they’d released it in the summer instead of fall.
The tomato was my first pick until I read more…sounds like it is a tomato sauce candle rather than a garden tomato candle? Hope eventually I will see a review of it somewhere.
Oh, good call. I just dug into Instagram comments, and one of the brand owners described it as like a bloody Mary. I’m definitely not interested in that kind of tomato candle.
I’m very happy with the Overland candles I’ve bought, they are an excellent value and have very nice scents. My only complaint is you really have to monitor the wick, it tends to get a soot ball on the end and flare up. I just finished Cardamom Milk and was going to repurchase. This Granola one and the Paulo one strike my fancy.
I agree with the Tomato comment, that would have been a very nice summer scent, not so much fall.
I am happy with mine too. I find Diptyque candles finicky too so I have no complaints about Otherland…the only candle I never end up having to mess with is Cire Trudon — although of course that might be sheer luck.
For how much Cire Trudon candles cost I’d hope one wouldn’t have to mess with to get them to burn well. I’ve tried a few Otherland candles and they were just meh with the scent, burn, and throw. If the tomato one is garden and not sauce smelling, I may give them another try.
