Goutal Paris is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a collector butterfly bottle (above left, 100 ml, sold empty, $135 at Hudson's Bay in Canada) and a limited edition pastry, available at Maison Angelina in Paris for the month of September only (above right, "Angelina's pastry chef Christophe Appert has created an exclusive pastry based on rose and pear, the iconic notes of the eponymous perfume "Petite Chérie", in the shape of the iconic butterfly ball. A collaboration that offers a unique moment of tasting, for the nose as well as the palate.")

Well, my first thought was “I want the one that looks like a wee fuzzy snowball!” And then I realized you can *eat* that one, so now I really want it! Too bad Paris is such a very long drive from here…
Seriously. I wonder if that “stopper” is edible too.
The stopper is probably like a little lollipop! I am so curious about what it actually tastes like, and if it actually tastes good.. I find myself totally ignoring the perfume…
I’ve never smelled Petite Cherie. Anyone?
Petite Cherie is my hairstylist’s signature. Not sure if she wears it when she is working, but she always smells nice.
It smells like tinned pears.
Do they ship to the US? ?
I assume you mean The Bay, and I’m afraid I don’t know.
Thanks, there’s hope!
The stopper is definitely a little hard candy, not sure if a lollipop, but it’s candy. Looking at the site I dream of that chestnut thread tort, a very seasonal treat. I purchased 2 small cans of creme chestnut when last in Paris, but I’ve never made the thread shape. I just spread it on scones?
I like to blend chestnut cream with whipped cream as a perfect filling for cakes and bûches de noel (chocolate ones, of course). Americans need to get hip to chestnuts!
My French grandmother would have agreed with you. ?
I like chestnut flavor but you rarely even find it here in the US so people just aren’t exposed to it.
I find selling an empty bottle a bit weird, especially at that price. Fill it with Eau du Sud, and I’ll consider it.
