From Diptyque's upcoming Grand Tour collection, the Paris candle. "The fragrance, developed by Olivia Giacobetti, evokes that of a stroll along the quays of the Seine – the weeping willows lining its banks, the polished wood scents of the antique stores along with those of the Parisian cobblestones and of the pages of antiquarian books. Inspired by an old display stand for diptyque candles, the sculpted black wood lid is a nod to the history of the Maison, concluding this initial olfactory, cultural and historic stopover."

I smelled it in a store that couldn’t sell it yet.
It’s okay, nothing amazing.
The lid makes it looks like a to go coffee.
It’s a bit more expensive than their usual candles.
Thanks littlecooling! I assumed the lid would make it cost more.
You’re welcome
Probably
A stroll along the Seine with weeping willows, polished wood, cobblestones, and pages of antiquarian books sounds like the most unique and amazing candle ever to me, but I’d have to smell it first considering someone said it’s nothing amazing.
I mean I like it, but it’s not a candle that stands out to me, considering it’s their 60th anniversary.
I might buy it, because I like the look and the lid is really great. But it’s rather expensive, so that is to be considered as well.
A Grand Tour candle set is rather a good idea during a time a many people won’t be up to a real-life Grand Tour. This morning I bought some mango-pinapple Perrier and told the clerk it was a substitute for a trip to Hawaii…
And I did not know Perrier came in mango pineapple now, but yeah, it’s the closest I’ll get to Hawaii soon!
