Two of the items from the limited edition, 17-piece Chanel Factory 5 collection, due to launch on the 29th of this month: at left, the body oil, and at right, the body cream. There is also a paint can with individual shower gel pods, a paint can with scented bath tablets, and a squeezable packet (it looks like a refill) of the body lotion. Why this packaging? "Through this concept, we want to return to the creation process of the first N°5 packaging. At the time, it was a simple laboratory bottle, a functional object that became luxurious and iconic. There was already this notion of transforming a common, ultra-functional object into a precious one. Chanel Factory 5 celebrates this approach, this step to the side, in its own way.” (I have not yet seen prices anywhere, but there will also be Chanel Factory 5 pop-up shops in selected cities.)

Love the oil can!
The oil can is darned cute. The paint cans are cute too, and have the added benefit of being reusable.
Okay, gotta admit it’s really cute! The designs of the packaging itself is further streamlined, and I love how the black and white branding further integrates itself. For a certain type of glam person, this would make an interesting display amongst more luxe looking items or decor.
Nominate myself to be this “certain type of glam person.” Going to have a difficult time resisting these little gems ?
Against a mirror vanity or tray, these would look SO nice!
Despite the promo copy, that hardware-store look is an *extremely* hard swerve from the severe elegance of the classic bottle, and I love it. I haven’t had any No. 5 of any sort in ages: I think if I saw a display of these products, it would be very hard for me to resist. 17 different products? I know I’d find one or two I couldn’t do without.
I love the packaging. Although every time I used the oil can I would be forced to make “squee squee squee squee” noises like when they oiled the Tin Man after he cried.
Love these! And was just thinking the other day that I would love a No 5 body oil, so this is perfect timing! Will be looking for this the end of the month. : )
Chanel has had a bath oil- I don’t know if it is still available- but worth a look!
Yeah but now I am having oil can packaging envy.
Ooh, I love the oil can! I want to join Sistine in making Tin Man noises.
Tin Man with flowers in his joints… LOL. I want it too. It would drive Adorable Hubby crazy, sitting amongst all my pretty little bottles. 🙂
