When we lived in Colorado, we used to walk our dog on a nearby trail with huge old cottonwoods that often had a family of great horned owls living in them. It was very special to me the time I got to see mom, dad and two babies on various branches!
How cool!! We used to occasionally see an owl out behind our house, but not in ages.
We live amid a passel of great horned owls — one night last year there were four of them perched around the yard, on the telephone pole, on the barn roof, in the trees, all calling in full voice to each other. I bought us an owl call so that we can talk to them, but lord knows what we’re saying…

It’d be decorative only, the hubby doesn’t let me burn incense or candles. Being in the apartment business, he sees far too many sad stories, I can’t blame him.
I do it occasionally, perhaps twice a year, but I place the candle in the kitchen sink lest Smokey drag his tail in the flame or I forget about it.
