Any Emeraude fans need a candle? The Holiday edition from Harlem Candle Co: "The Holiday candle is inspired by [Billie Holiday's] favorite perfume, Emeraude, an aromatic green blend of fresh Winter spruce, pine needles, mint-infused eucalyptus, fir balsam and spicy cedarwood developing into a feminine heart of ethereal blue hyacinth. Strong and full-bodied, yet fragile and dreamy… just like Lady Day. Sets a beautiful mood for holiday time and all year round." $45 for 340g at Harlem Candle Co, where you'll also find the same scent in a "Night-Club Map of Harlem" collector edition for $50. Hat tip to Sara!

Thank you Robin, interesting to learn about BH’s signature scent but I thought Emeraude was a precursor of Shalimar so don’t recognize the list of notes they give. Well, anyway these notes are very appropriate for a candle at least.
I always thought Emeraude was similar to Shalimar too. Much more powdery though.
I am not a fan of Emeraude and don’t even remember it, but the reviews are awfully good! Then again, nobody in the reviews that I can find mentions Emeraude.
Emeraude was a fragrance by Coty, certainly here in the UK. My much-missed friend Diane who I have mentioned here before, who fell madly in love with Dana’s Tabu & nicknamed it ‘instant brothel’ (which I know a few people here appreciated & found amusing!) wore Emeraude when I first knew her.
Any form of candle is a lemming for me. Will check it out. I don’t really remember Emeraude, other than the small bottle of perfume my mother had. I do remember liking it.
Looks gorgeous! Emeraude is one of those that it’s painful for me to think about: I got a very vintage version in decant from Patty from PP many years ago that was heart-breaking — me and my mint love — and several kind friends have helped me try to find a similar version in the seemingly hundreds of dissimilar reformulations that scent has gone through, but I’ve never found it. I had a vintage mini for a while that was sort of close but sort of like a cologne version of the oriental extrait.
