Niche line Oriza L. Legrand has launched Scotch Lavender, a new fragrance. Last year, the brand introduced Le Régent, the first entry in the "Jewels of the Crown" collection exploring the brand's 18th century archives.
Scotch Lavender (shown) ~ "A dandy fragrance very fashionable at the end of the 19th century, the "Fougère" accord by SCOTCH LAVANDER warms the aromatic and fresh notes of Scottish lavender by associating benzoin and amber for an elegant and timeless composition." Additional notes include bergamot, thyme, geranium, vetiver and tonka bean.
Le Régent ~ "The Regent, a diamond of 140.5 carats, is considered as one of the most beautiful diamond in the world, that you can see today in the Galerie d'Apollon at the Louvre in Paris. It is his perfumed tribute that we invite you to discover here: Tears of benzoin, glitter of amber, vanilla powder in a sweet and oriental leather." Additional notes include Peruvian balm, Tolu balm, opoponax and gaïac.
Oriza L. Legrand Scotch Lavender and Le Régent are available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Ah, tassels! Oriza actually has one of the nicest (and smallest) perfume shops in Paris. A lovely little gem of a place where I had a great time last September. The SA could not have been nicer. Their soaps are wonderful as well, and come in really pretty, retro packaging. I’m very keen to try both of these, the lavender in particular.
The Regent comes in what must be the only ugly bottle they make, which is a double surprise for a perfume inspired by a diamond.
A shame because their packaging is generally so good. A bit over the top perhaps, but in a good way.
I’m a bit wary of Scotland’s lavender. I blind bought Athaneum from Jorum Studios (which uses that ingredient) and it smelt like a bitter very harsh version of lavender. Almost like a toilet cleaning product.
Out of curiosity, do you know who the perfumer for Oriza Legrand is?
No idea, sorry.
