Voyages Imaginaires is the new niche brand of Camille Goutal of Goutal Paris and perfumer Isabelle Doyen. They debut with five fragrances: Azahar, La Couleur de la Nuit, L'Echappée Sauvage, Le Grand Jeu and Tea & Rock'n'Roll.
The fragrances making up this collection, true haute couture creations, are inspired by their journeys, real or imaginary, which take them back to past memories and unknown lands.
Azahar (shown) ~ "Azahar, or the orange tree in Hispanic Arabic, takes us to a Moroccan roof at the end of the day, when the sun is waning and the shade of the orange trees is stretching. The Orange Blossom, merging with notes of petit-grain and mandarin, evokes the divine freshness that gradually falls on the heat of the day. Marshmallow and vanilla exacerbate its savoury, gourmet side." A white floral; additional notes include bergamot and tuberose.
La Couleur de la Nuit ~ "La Couleur de la Nuit is a mysterious night walk through an Asian city, illuminated by red lanterns and fluorescent neon lights. From the fragrance emanates the dark, damp atmosphere, lightly illuminated by the twinkling lights of a Wong Kar-wai film. The freshness of lavender transcended by geranium contrasts with the dark and bewitching effect of vanilla and fir balsam, creating an elegant Chiaroscuro." An aromatic fougere; additional notes include bergamot and patchouli.
L'Echappée Sauvage ~ "Inspired by a visit to an island in the Mediterranean Sea, l'Echappée Sauvage is a hymn to the exhilarating heat of the South, and the pine needles sticking to bare feet. Unquestionably wild, the fragrance is a gentle contrast between the warmth of cedar wood and tonka bean, and the tangy freshness of bergamot and lemon. A subtle peppery note of pink berries sublimates its indomitable scent." A floriental; additional notes include fig, almond, narcissus, clary sage and guaiac.
Le Grand Jeu ~ "Le Grand Jeu is a stunning white under a blinding sun, symbolised by coconut milk, tuberose and gardenia combined with vanilla. By day, the fragrance is reminiscent of the scent of a tanned, sun-wet body: intensely sensual and seductive. Then, once night falls, it suggests a warm summer evening around a game table, in an elegant evening dress." A floriental.
Tea & Rock'n'Roll ~ "Between bowler hat and electric guitar, Tea & Rock'n'Roll is the fragrance of the modern-day dandy, both chic and crazy. The smoky aspect of bergamot mixed with maté reminds one of a cup of tea sipped on the return from a crazy evening: a real contrast between the legendary British tradition and the crazy extravagance of London parties." A green citrus; additional notes include lime, leather and tonka bean.
Voyages Imaginaires Azahar, La Couleur de la Nuit, L'Echappée Sauvage, Le Grand Jeu and Tea & Rock'n'Roll are available now at Nose in France, €190 each for 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Looking forward to trying L’Echappée Sauvage; I like Isabelle Doyen’s work.
I do too.
Generally speaking, just the list of notes and the few words about Azahar being another perfume to my mind… Rihanna’s Love by Killian…
It does sound sort like Love Don’t Be Shy.
