Giorgio Armani has launched four new fragrances in the Les Eaux collection in the Armani Privé fragrance range: Gardénia Antigua, Jasmin Kusamono, Rose Milano and Thé Yulong.
Gardénia Antigua ~ A floral musk developed by perfumer Dora Baghriche. "A sophisticated reinterpretation of the emblematic Gardenia flower, infused with pure, intense light and invigorated by a marine breeze. Fascinated by Antigua, where he has a second home, Mr. Armani shows his vision of the island here with the delicate sunny and powdery notes of island flowers, such as Ylang-ylang and Gardenia." Additional notes include neroli, ambroxan and white musk.
Jasmin Kusamono ~ Developed by perfumer Dominique Ropion. "A Jasmine crafted like a kusamono, the Japanese floral composition inspired by the art of bonsai that showcases one or several natural elements to elevate them to new heights. Here, jasmine is given pride of place, revealing its transparent, aqueous and almost airy facets. Woven with lily of the valley and a touch of ambergris, jasmine takes on a new dimension and unveils the strength of its petals and white flower notes." Additional notes include Nashi pear, pink pepper, cedar and sandalwood.
Rose Milano ~ Developed by perfumer Daphné Bugey. "A modern chypre rose absolute revealed by the brightness of Italian lemon Primofiore and earthy, smoky notes of patchouli and moss."
Thé Yulong ~ A woody citrus developed by perfumers Julie Massé and Véronique Nyberg. "The perfect balance between the freshness of green tea and citrus, and the intensity of black tea and smoked woods. Known for its tea trees that grow high in altitude and its magnificent landscapes, the Yunnan region is home to one of the most beautiful black teas, interpreted by the Armani/Privé collection in this bottle. Paired with Sencha, a traditional Japanese green tea, the fragrance swirls smoky notes into green facets, backed by an impression of radiant freshness delivered by citrus notes." Additional notes include mandarin, lime and ambrette.
Armani Privé Gardénia Antigua, Jasmin Kusamono, Rose Milano and Thé Yulong are $175 each for 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (A 50 ml size will also be available.)

Rose Milano and The Yulong sounds promising!
Those 2 do look like the best bets…no pear or aquatic stuff.
I haven’t smelt much pear in fragrances, I wonder why a lot of perfumistas seem to dislike it.
Hmmm, I’m not sure I have a good answer. To me personally, pear is like white musk…it’s a way of “watering down” the final result, so the fragrance stays “clean” and “fresh” and more bland than bold?
Those were my picks as well.
I am always down for an earthy rose, and the 50-mL bottle might not be ridiculously expensive. Definitely have to check that one out if I ever see it.
