Penhaligon's has launched Babylon, a new fragrance in the brand's Trade Routes Collection.
Housed in Penhaligon's distinctive ribbon-wrapped glass flacon, the Babylon eau de parfum takes inspiration from Eastern spices to create a unique, oriental scent. Opening with notes of saffron and nutmeg, the fragrance is rooted with a powerful base of sandalwood and vanilla absolute.
Additional notes include coriander, cypriol and cedar.
Penhaligon's Babylon is available at Harrods, £173 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I don’t know why I thought Penhaligon’s already has a fragrance called Babylon? The label color looks nice and the notes look really good, just in time for Fall!
If they did then I’ve screwed up — but I did check and can’t find one.
Oh no, you didn’t mess up…it’s just that a perfume with the name Babylon sounded really familiar and if I had to pick the house, Penhaligon’s would be right up there!
It looks good, and sounds like it would smell good to me too! I like nutmeg. I wonder if it stays unisex or veers masculine?
I think this collection is supposed to be unisex, but of course I have not smelled it.
Sounds promising, I like the notes!
Wanty want want but gosh were they always so pricy??
No indeed not. Their products, particularly their fragrances, were not always as outrageously expensive as they have become since the change of ownership relatively recently.
I love the sound of the notes, but, well – you all know that story. 🙂
Very pretty bottle. Sometime I’ll probably get a sample of the fragrance to sniff, but I doubt that I’d get a bottle at that price.
