Aftelier has several new natural skincare items to tempt you this holiday. Shown is Geranium Cleansing Oil ("...a nourishing oil cleanser that can be rinsed off with warm water. Wild-harvested geranium essential oil was the best choice for the scent, with its gorgeous fresh, green, rosy aroma, and known for enhancing skin repair, reducing inflammation, superior toning, and anti-bacterial properties"; 33 ml for $35), and you might also consider Lavender Face Elixir ("Our lightweight face elixir is immediately absorbed softening and conditioning your skin. Use on your clean face before bed, and drift off to sleep in a light veil of fragrance that promotes relaxation. When you wake up, your skin will feel wonderfully nourished and revitalized."; 20 ml for $70). The one I really want was already in the mix and I've possibly included in a daily lemming already: Jasmine Face Elixir ("This delightful jasmine aroma is uplifting and relaxing. Drifting off to sleep inhaling this gorgeous aroma makes you feel as if all is right in the world"; 20 ml for $70).
Monday scent of the day 12/17
Monday and Wright Brothers Day! It’s also Maple Syrup Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m starting my community project count in Parfumerie Générale / Pierre Guillaume 04, Musc Maori.
Reminder: on 12/21 we’re doing What’s your number…
Happiness smells like…
Pale yellow roses. It’s so hard for a perfumer because I don’t think of things in terms of emotion very often, you know? But yeah, it has to be pale white or yellow roses, they’re so happy.

Jasmine flowers by the sea. A mixture of the salty and sweet. We have a place in the Caribbean where we have night-blooming jasmine. I love flowers that bloom near the sea. That fragrance is absolutely intoxicating.

Lazy weekend poll ~ five questions for December 2018
Five questions for a December weekend. As always, answer as few or as many as you like, or just talk about something else.
1. What fragrance are you wearing today?
2. What’s your favorite holiday (any holiday) food? (Feel free to share or link to a recipe!)
3. Did you make any perfume-related resolutions for 2018, and if so, did you stick to them?
4. Possibly related to #3, what’s the next fragrance you are itching to buy?
5. Share something wonderful with us! It can be anything — something delicious you ate, a great movie you saw recently, the last good book you read, any fabulous news you recently received — really, anything.
The daily lemming
One of my favorites, and I love the size and the new(-ish) packaging (although the price, not so much): "Frédéric Malle's Une Rose eau de parfum combines the voluptuousness of the flower with the carnal depth of a truffle accord. Created by Edouard Fléchier, this fragrance infuses notes of rose, vetiver, patchouli, and castoreum for a intimate, earthy scent." 30 ml is $195 at Barneys.
