French niche line By Kilian has launched Do It For Love, a new fragrance. Do It For Love was developed for the Noir shop that opened yesterday at Bergdorf Goodman (Vogue described Noir as "a virtual ode to black in shoppable form".)
KILIAN and Linda Fargo, Women's Fashion Director at Bergdorf Goodman, introduce DO IT FOR LOVE, a new fragrance sealed with a kiss. DO IT FOR LOVE translates Linda Fargo's exuberant style and contagious charisma into an unusual blend: a vetiver au feminine, in which vetiver's bold energy is rounded off with a sensual, floral kiss.
Rich in the highest concentration of vetiver ever achieved in the perfume industry, DO IT FOR LOVE's long-lasting accord blends vetiver, Linda's favorite base ingredient, neroli and jasmine to perfection. The fragrance opens with a fresh citrus declaration of bergamot and petitgrain, an essential oil from the bitter orange tree. Floral facets soften its heart, with neroli and orange blossom providing the perfect mood-lift like the bright Mediterranean sun. It is an irresistible crossing of strong and soft, masculine and feminine, bold and beautiful juxtapositions that are essential to timeless style.
By Kilian Do It For Love is available at Bergdorf Goodman, $325 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Brilliant Bear…..and unfortunately very true!
I’m not impressed with anything from By Killian…..
Most of the money for this line it to pay for the genuinely gorgeous packaging. The refill bottles are considerably less.
I love vetivers and am always looking for a “femmine one” But why would a vetiver be a depiction of “black” in scent. Vetiver’s smell like and literally are watery grasses.
Hard to tell if they went for a “black” smell.
I think this was the sample I received from the BG SA although my eyeballs are remembering the “Do It” part but thought it ended with “family”. I’ll know for sure when I get home.
