Italian niche line Profumum has launched Sabbia Bianca, a re-release of a limited edition floral fragrance from 2011.
This is a rich, multifaceted tuberose composition that explores the hidden depths of the iconic white flower.
Sabbia Bianca opens with a tropical, creamy-fruity aroma of tiaré flower, which is joined in short order by the tuberose. [...] Tuberose possesses notes of camphor and rubber, both of which are present in Sabbia Bianca. After the pretty tropical opening, the fragrance oscillates a bit and settles on an icy, cool blast of camphor on a creamy white floral backdrop of tuberose. As Sabbia Bianca progresses, the rubbery aspects of tuberose become increasingly more apparent, resulting in a dark, slightly smoky drydown packed to the brim with creamy tuberose.
Additional notes include violet and ylang ylang.
Profumum Sabbia Bianca can be found now at Fumerie, $310 for 100 ml Extrait de Parfum.

$310?
I think I pass.
Love the bottle tho.
I sorta missed the memo on Profumum prices, or I’d just forgotten!
They used to be $250, $310 is getting rather steep!
Ha, even $250 goes in my “steep” category. There are just so many great perfumes for half that or less.
Have they always been extraits de parfum? The price does look outrageous, but it is 100 mL extrait. That’s a lot of extrait.
The difference in extrait and edp is not always meaningful…in the old days, some brands used better / more ingredients in the Parfum, and that is why they were typically packaged in very small dabber bottles. Today, I would not count on the idea that you’re getting anything different other than a slightly higher concentration, and in fact, so far as I know there is no legal requirement to meet any standards in that regard, and many brands use EdP concentrations today that would have been called Extrait in the past.
