Niche line Nomenclature will launch Para_íso, a new fragrance highlighting the synthetic quince note Quincester.
For the ancient Greeks, [quince] was a symbol of love, dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite. The effusive Quincester®, a captive molecule developed by Firmenich, conveys the heavenly tartness of the pear-like quince. “It’s crisp, lively, so radiant it’s almost fluorescent!” says [perfumer] Frank Voelkl, who admits it was love at first sniff for him.
In para_íso, the radiant Quincester®, guides you “In Search Of” or ISO, the ubiquitous acronym. Cutting through a maze of green vines, the laser-sharp molecule reveals a vibrant oasis of green, floral, fruity and woody notes. Iris, jasmine sambac and a full-bodied, almost coconutty muguet note, the captive Lilyflore®, nestle the tart, juicy fruit in their dewy petals. White Tea Nature Print, a vividly realistic reproduction of the floral-scented beverage, introduces luminous cedarwood.
Nomenclature Para_íso will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

The others in this line have left me cold, but QUINCE — a scent/flavor I love. The best quince note I’ve come across was in Diptyque Coing roomspray. I’ll have to give this one a try.
It sounds better on its own than with white tea and “Lilyflore”, but worth a shot!
I love quince too. Quincester sounds like a symbol of love for an AI goddess. And that promo perfume description seems to come from the pens of AI perfumers. Our days are numbered.
LOL Kanuka
Evidence is all around…
I feel like the chemical is probably supposed to be pronounced “quince ester”, but I will be pronouncing it quinster like I am from Massachusetts or England.
