Cartier will launch Carat, a new fragrance, in September.
Introducing the new Cartier Carat Eau de Parfum. An invisible jewel that radiates in a myriad of facets just like the diamond.
Perfumer Mathilde Laurent aimed for a perfume that would transmit light with the brightness of a diamond. Seven colors (violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red) are represented by seven floral notes (violet, lily, hyacinth, ylang ylang, narcissus, honeysuckle and tulip).
Cartier Carat will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

sounds like an olfactory equivalent of toothache.
That wouldn’t be Mathilde Laurent’s usual style — guessing this will be airy. But we’ll see!
I agree – that’s why I am mildly surprised about the notes. I hope you are right. I love Baiser Vole and L’envol, but La Panthere was way too sweet for my taste.
What a gimmicky concept!
But if you’re Mathilde Laurent you might pull it off.
Agree…not Cartier’s best fragrance idea ever, IMHO. Also looks less distinctive than many of their fragrance bottles.
This reminds me of the fake diamond that is Chanel 1932 with I’m sure lots of musks and cosmetic fruity notes.
The small bottle on the left is beyond cute!
I think it’s beautiful. Completely airy, fresh and gorgeously blended.
