Spanish niche brand Carner Barcelona will follow last year's Floral Collection with three fragrances in the Oriental Collection: Ambar del Sur, Botafumeiro and Megalium.
Three deep and intense perfumes that will walk you through our history and cultural roots since the roman times to the modern days.
Ambar del Sur (shown) ~ "Reminiscent of a time when royalty perfumed their hair with exquisite musks, the scent of amber wafted in the air, and enchanted patios bloomed with florals and romance. Ambar del Sur is an aromatic tribute to the al-Andalus of the past. Vanilla, tonka bean and grey amber is a hedonistic blend that lingers on the skin." Additional notes include bergamot, water jasmine, patchouli, sandalwood, myrrh and cistus.
Botafumeiro ~ "Botafumeiro; rings of biblical times when pilgrims traveled on foot along the pastoral Camino de Santiago in route to the tomb of St. James resting below the historic stones of the Cathedral. Swinging to great heights along the church, the Botafumeiro censer expels billows of scented smoke filling the air with a heavenly aroma. Warm, sweet and smooth with hints of spice-- notes of berry, nutmeg, incense and sandalwood come together to form a deeply divine fragrance." Additional notes include bergamot, pink pepper, freesia, muguet, cistus, patchouli, styrax, mystikal and musk.
Megalium ~ "Megalium, an ancient fragrance passed down through the ages, from a time when rose water flowed from fountains and balsams perfumed the lavish private lives of the Romans from their bathing rituals to their chambers and boudoirs. Soft yet spicy notes of cinnamon and calamus blend with a redolent heart of pimiento berry and Bulgarian rose extract, drying down to a dramatic finish of myrrh and frankincense." Additional notes include mandarin, nutmeg, white pepper, olibanum, opoponax and styrax.
Carner Barcelona Ambar del Sur, Botafumeiro and Megalium are available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

All three of these appeal to me. Gosh darn it!
Me too. Me too. There seems to be a bunch of niche releases I have been interested in. Sadly Niche taste on a drug store budget. ????
Yes! these are all so appealing!!
I am in a good position — each one of them sounds almost appealing but has at least one element I don’t like.
These do sound interesting. I appreciate the description style – evocative enough to be appealing, but not so florid as to be senseless.
Yeah, they’re not bad as these things go.
Well now I have forgotten whatever it was I was lemming for last week…Bruno who?
Mystikal is a lasting incense molecule by Givaudan.
Its a captive so only used in their own blends, so I have no idea what lts like.
I hope they don’t use real calamus, which has quite a vile smell.
Water jasmine, is this a code word for hedione?
Don’t know — there is a plant called water jasmine, but I have no way of knowing what they mean.
