A lover of scents, Jeni Britton Bauer says she always wanted to be a perfumer. Instead, she opened an ice cream business which has created more than 200 flavors, including osmanthus and blackberry crackle and Bangkok peanut. Yet, her original ambitions are evident when she speaks about her passion for frozen treats.

Her ice creams are truly unique. A quick trip to her website might make your mouth water. I’m planning a trip to one of her stores here in Columbus today.
I have made a couple of her recipes — she knows flavor! Wish there was a shop near me because I’m too lazy to make ice cream all the time.
Try Whole Foods. I’ve seen it at their stores in Illinois and Michigan.
Thanks — I’ll check again.
THIS is MY daily lemming 🙂
Ditto!
Yeah, if you offered me osmanthus ice cream or a beauty product right now, I’d certainly take the ice cream.
Haha, I’ve been consciously making an effort to buy beauty products instead of delicious, unhealthy food 🙂 But in a world where I was already in excellent shape, I would agree.
This truly is the most wonderful ice cream. I was lucky enough to live near a store during my year in Georgia; now I will occasionally splurge for delivery, cost be damned. Also some fancy stores have started carrying their most popular flavors – if you see them, in the white container with an orange logo, grab Salty Caramel or Brambleberry crisp without looking at the price tag!
I have been really surprised not to see them in a local store. That said, I adore Gelato Fiasco in Portland, ME, and was so excited to see it in stores — nope, just not as good. But maybe that’s just because it’s harder to package gelato.
