Portuguese brand Claus Porto has launched Claus Porto Le Parfum, a new limited edition fragrance celebrating the brand's 130th anniversary.
Claus Porto Le Parfum was created by British perfumer Lyn Harris, who endeavoured to find the soul of the fragrance by seeking out the mystery in the Portuguese landscape. Marrying sparkling citrus notes with the warmth of figs and water melon, she anchored it with a base that is redolent of the cedar wood trees growing alongside the famous Douro river. The result is a visual harmony that transcends the everyday and transports the wearer to a special place.
Additional notes include bergamot, lemon, orange, galbanum, angelica grain, frankincense and elemi.
Claus Porto Le Parfum is €160 for 95 ml Eau de Parfum.

The additional notes sounds lovely, but when I read the description and see watermelon, I get a bit frighten, that it might be dominate :/
I am not fond of watermelon in perfume either, but this could be lovely, who knows? Don’t think I will see it, and it appears to have launched in October but don’t see it in the US anywhere yet.
Claus Porto makes great soaps, but the real reason I buy them is for the wonderful Art Deco wrappers, so this looks disappointing to me.
I often like Lyn Harris’s compositions, but the thought of watermelon and cedar is putting my guard up.
I hope it’s way better than expected.
The bottle looks nicer in some views than others — it’s a handmade numbered glass bottle, and looks heavy. Surprised it did not get a bigger role in the video…
The bottle could be nice (just not very Claus Porto), but that white plastic cap looks all wrong for it.
It does look wrong. But scroll down here, at least the bottles look better, and I think maybe the cap does too:

Looks like the cap on my toothpaste. And I’d second the opinion that the last thing Claus Porto’s soaps need is “updated” packaging.
Exactly! Or a dime store nail polish.
Hmmm. the notes don’t match the vibe of the video, do they…a dry, herbal, resin-y landscape. I guess the ferry ride may account for the ‘watermelon’…hope that’s not a nicer word for calone/ozone? Anyway, not excited about this one.
One of the market stands had watermelons. I wouldn’t mind real watermelon, necessarily, but I’m having a hard time imagining it with cedar.
