I just received an extensive order from Fragonard this morning, I love their stuff, and their orange blossom cologne and body lotion is very lovely, so I’m sure this soap is good as well.
Oh fun! Did you get anything fantastic we should all know about?
Well not fantastic, but I got a bottle of their Eau de Toilette Mimosa, and I’m completely enchanted. Sure it isn’t a masterpiece but after a slightly iffy opening it manages to smell of mimosa and dry down to an abstract floral musk that is still very appealing. And it cost me € 17,- for 50 mls. Apart from that I got a number of soaps that will serve as gifts. Their Jardin soaps are very nice, Jasmin Perle de Thé and Rose Lavande in particular.
That sounds lovely — everything doesn’t have to be a masterpiece. Tempted by the jasmine tea soap!
Gorgeous! Love the whole package. Nice Christmas gift!
Yes!
I will chime in with my favorite Fragonard product—the rose glycerine soap!!! It’s like 5€ each in France at least, and I’m regretting not having bought out their stock before leaving the country. Most gorgeous rose scent ever, and it lathers beautifully.
The more the merrier, thanks!
Their Vétiver is also shockingly good. A nice, deep, dirty, rooty vetiver. Not as far from Chanel Sycomore as you might think, given their disparate price points.
I got Fragonard Iris soap at the Fragonard boutique in Eze (about halfway between Monte Carlo and Nice).
In soap related news, I had to return the Aerin Amber Musk soap because wah, I broke out in hives adter using it once. I wanted to test to see if it was the soap or the re-introduction to the Clinique Body Butter which I brought out (brand new jar) in anticipation of cooler weather so I used the soap again then wore a different lotion (a specialty Cerave lotion designed to alleviate radhes) and sure enough, I got the bumps again. Anyway, all these to say that I need to go back to doing patch tests before using new scented body products.
So sorry to hear that you got hives from the Aerin soap! That sounds terrible. 🙁
Thanks. I got a little careless a I haven’t had a problem in a while even though I had been switching up soaps.
Oh dear, sorry!
