California indie brand Mirus has launched The Elysian Fields, a new aromatic fougère fragrance.
The Elysian Fields is a rich fougere that explores the more sumptuous aspects of this classic fragrance style. It starts with a special lavender oil made from just the lavender flowers, with the stems and greenery removed. This yields a sweeter smell that is more true to nature. This rich, sweet lavender melds with Venezuelan tonka bean absolute, natural oakmoss and geranium to form a heady fougere that’s both traditional and decadent.
Additional notes include bergamot, cardamom, lilac, sandalwood and white musk.
Mirus The Elysian Fields is $65 for 15 ml Parfum Extrait. It can be found now at Tigerlily.

We had the privilege of attending the launch party at Tigerlily! It was great fun, and Neal Peters was very nice 🙂 EF was not for me, but I did enjoy trying out all of the line. There was one jasmine + wet earth scent that I quite enjoyed.
Oh fun, I wonder if that was the “Wicked Stepmother” that Kevin reviewed?
I believe the jasmine after the rain scent was Silver Lining (or Linings?). It hasn’t been launched yet, but he brought them anyway so people could get a sneak whiff 🙂
Ah, thanks.
