Elie Saab has launched Girl of Now, a new fragrance for women. Girl of Now shares its name with the Elie Saab Girl of Now initiative, a campaign to empower and encourage young women.
The notes feature pear, mandarin, pistachio, jasmine, magnolia, almond, patchouli, tonka bean, cashmeran and almond milk.
Elie Saab Girl of Now is available in 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: Girl of Now was developed by perfumers Dominique Ropion and Sophie Labbé. It is described as an orange blossom tinged with almond.
Is FK the nose?
I have not seen it attributed to anybody yet. The official launch is not until September so we’ll probably learn more.
I love the original Elie Saab, so I’m inclined to try releases from the brand. But the name? One of the most unfortunate ever.
I think it’s awful, but then, I am not a Girl of Now. I also find it vaguely insulting that there’s a perfume that has the same name as a campaign to empower young women, but that’s probably another sign of how not Girl of Now I am.
I imagine this is the result of someone being tone deaf in translation.
In spanish it wouldn’t sound as bad “Chica de hoy” (Girl of Today) is the expression.
Still tacky but doesn’t sound alien if you know what I mean.
In french it coukd be charming, as many things are in french “Fille du jour” or something like it (I only speak the french that I’ve learned from skincare and perfume packagin LOL so sorry)
I venture to say that this is the result of someone very powerful up in the executive level, who does not know enough english or just has a functional relation to the language, that said (read with exaggerated french accent)”but of course! We need a fragrance for the girl of today! And voilá. That should be the name!” And then no one i the room had the guts to tell them it sounds crappy… or maybe “It Girl” was already taken?
Anyway I think it might be the same person (yes this is just my imagination) that named the awfully named “Provocative Woman”
Well, and the tone deaf in translation may not matter if the primary market is not English-speaking, right? I don’t know how Girl of Now sounds to someone who does not speak English fluently.
Yes you are right.
It might not sound so atrocious LOL.
But I am afraid of the flankers… “Spinster of Tomorrow” a new flanker to 2017’s “Girl Of Now” 🙂
LOL — I swear I will buy Spinster of Tomorrow if they make it! Excellent.
The name is indeed unfortunate. But that BOTTLE!! (and the notes sound pretty decent, too, providing the pear isn’t too prominent)
I love pistachio and almond milk scents…..I’ll sniff it for sure if I run across it.
But I’m not a “Girl of Now”….I’m a “Mom in need of Nap”……. 🙂
Me too! ????
I was going to say, which came first? The campaign or the perfume?
Well, the campaign was announced first, but in terms of planning, your guess is as good as mine.
Gasp! Girl of now needs not the magic and sparkle of Pink Pepper!? 😛
