Canadian indie line Zoologist will launch Dragonfly, a new unisex fragrance.
Like a glade captured in delicate strokes upon an impressionist canvas, the rich, green floral medley of Zoologist Dragonfly transports you through a maze of moody tones and melancholy weather. This olfactory journey echoes the cycle of a cobalt pond, from the crackling light of dawn to the thick blanket of nightfall, under the gaze of the flitting dragonfly.
Dragonfly was developed by perfumer Juan Perez of Exotic Island Aromas. The notes feature aldehydes, heliotrope, lemon, peony, rainwater, cherry blossom, clover, iris, lotus, rice, amber, moss, musk, papyrus and sandalwood.
Zoologist Dragonfly will be available in 60 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m looking forward to trying this one.
I really need to catch up with Zoologist — and never tried anything from Exotic Island Aromas.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I’ve been thrilled with everything thus far and lean towards Panda and Rhinoceros. The only one I am not super pleased with is Bat but I seem to be in the minority.
Thanks Scott! Some day, I will catch up 🙂
Bat is utterly amazing. Lime, vetiver and the persistent scent of wet earth. What is not to love?
Robin, I highly recommend Civet.
I agree about Civet. It’s my favorite of the line.
Thanks! I need to get sniffing.
I really like Civet and Nightingale.
I definitely want to try this, but the “rainwater” note makes me wary. The aquatic note ruined Beaver for me.
AGREED! Rainwater, watery, misty notes can put me off a fragrance. Calone and its cousins can make me scrunch my nose in a flash. I read that, and will probably skip this one. (I have thousands of samples, srsly, so skipping one is not a disaster)
Can’t wait to try Dragonfly, the Zoologist line is one of my favorites.
Zoologist has been fun to try. I have not found one to love, but Civet and Rhinoceros have been my favorites so far. Bat goes into my pantheon of stunt perfumes like Secretions Magnifique and Asphalt Rainbow. . .I don’t want to wear them, but I find them interesting art. I passed on my samples of Zoologist to a non perfumista friend and she adores Rhino and Hummingbird.
Oh no (but also oh yes!), I still haven’t tried Civet or Nightingale (or Macaque, but less tempted there).
This sounds very cool, but also personally a bit concerned by it being made by Juan Perez, because I didn’t love the EOA perfumes. But we’ll see, maybe it is time!
