Gallivant is a new London-based niche line founded by Nick Steward, and debuting with four "urban exploration" fragrances: Brooklyn, Istanbul, London and Tel Aviv.
GALLIVANT is about urban exploration. The collection is inspired by the breezy vibe of the coolest, most creative urban destinations.
GALLIVANT is about feet-on-the-ground exploration. The freedom to wander and travel. It’s about getting out into the world, discovery, mixing it up.
GALLIVANT is about hidden corners. Unexpected finds. The uncelebrated. Getting off grid. It’s about finding that new place, the next neighbourhood. Favoured old haunts. Chance encounters. Taking the pulse of a place and drinking in the vibe.
Brooklyn ~ "The fizz of an urban playground. It’s a musky citrus fragrance. A fresh, spicy, fizzy head, with notes of bergamot, squeezed lemon and orange juice. Incense, cardamom, ozonic notes. A floral heart, with magnolia and orris root. And a base of white woods, benzoin, amber and musks."
Istanbul ~ "An Orientalist’s fantasy expressed in a modern script. An ambery, woody, spicy fragrance. A fresh aromatic head, with notes of bergamot, cardamom, red thyme. A woody, aromatic heart, with lavender absolute, Egyptian geranium essence, patchouli heart and sweet myrrh (opoponax) essence. And basenotes of sandalwood, vanilla, tonka bean, amber and musks."
London ~ "Rain, shine, touch of grit, dash of glam. It’s a floral leather fragrance. With a watery green head, of cucumber and violet leaves. A floral heart, with Rose de Mai Absolute, rose oil and orris root. And basenotes of leather, sandalwood, patchouli and cedarwood."
Tel Aviv ~ "Mediterranean warmth and gusto. This is a bright, sunny, floral fruity fragrance. A fresh, fruity head, and notes of clementine, bergamot, and blackcurrant bud. A floral heart with jasmine sambac absolute, Comoros’ ylang ylang, rose oil and freesia. And a warm, musky base with sandalwood, musks, Deer’s Tongue absolute (liatrix) and benzoin."
Gallivant Brooklyn, Istanbul, London and Tel Aviv are available now at Luckyscent or Twisted Lily, $95 each for 30 ml Eau de Parfum.

Hmmm
I guess.
I don’t know what made me pursue this but I’m glad I did and thank you Robin.
They look/sound interesting at the least and I have a feeling I’ve met him (being an ex L’AP guy – I used to hang around those London stores when they still had them – plus he lives in Dalston, 5 minutes down the road to me). So I’ve ordered the discovery set (such great sizes!)
Oh, do let us know if they’re good. I don’t know why but am not really responding to the concept, which just seems a little forced. Like the sizes too though!
I might give these a try later today. I agree it sounds a little forced-more like they made some perfumes and built a concept around them. None sound like “hidden corners” or new explorations but I suppose if they smell good, who cares? And at least they’re under $100.
Agree with all of that! If they’re good, I’m in. But it takes an awful lot to get me to try a new niche line these days — I’m burned out.
Well, they’ll be serving free food and drinks at Twisted Lily so there’s that ????
LOL!
Elisa P! I enjoyed meeting you at the event. 😉
At last, someone gives overdue recognition to undiscovered places like, erm, New York and London. SMH.
