Giorgio Armani has launched Iris Céladon, the latest in the Armani Privé fragrance range.
The colour Celadon is neither blue, green nor grey. It's an indefinable colour, and one that I find fascinating”. Giorgio Armani
After jasmine, leather, amber and incense, iris now comes to prominence. This mysterious and joyous flower offers a characteristic and penetrating olfactory treat. Here, it presents itself in its finest attire, enveloped in the unique colour of Celadon to create a new art piece within LA COLLECTION; an iridescent world and a new olfactory story.
As the unifying thread running through the wake of this fragrance, the iris is presented in aldehyde wrapped in bergamot and cardamom. The majestic flower then explodes into a resinous iris heart with hints of chocolate and concrete with buttery accents, underpinned by a maté absolute. It explores its sensual side through powerful musks, ambrette and patchouli.
Armani Privé Iris Céladon is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: Iris Céladon was developed by perfumer Marie Salamagne.
Oh! I’d love to try it!
It does sound fun, and I love that color.
Even though I mostly associate Celadon with Pokemon series 😉
I really love those bottles.
Yes, they were a good idea! Not as nicely done as they used to be, but still quite attractive.
I am quite looking forward to this one, hope it’s great.
Iris!!Obviously a “need-to-smell”!
So, after exploiting iris for their super-limited $600 editions, Armani finally decides to use it in there “regular” luxury line? It’s interesting. I’ll be curious to try and compare to their La Femme Bleau.
Pierre de Lune is an iris fragrance and my favourite in the line so I’m looking forward to comparing the two. I’ll just pretend the $600 one never existed…
Hmmm… a little nervous about the “powerful musks” and patchouli, but iris *anything* is worth sniffing out in my book, and so is cardamom anything, and celadon is one of my favorite ceramic glazes. 🙂
Iris (yes please!) and Celadon (the color of ALL our dishes)??? hell yeah, where do I sign???
