Niche line Miller et Bertaux has launched Study #23 (newsletter), a new unisex woody oriental fragrance.
I remember. The day declines, slowly … A nocturnal fragrance of combined perfumes. Flower petals, incense fumes. On the bodies and faces, orange, pasted rice, saffron. Two young foreigners sitting in lotus, the sacred flower. Their skin looks so white, their hair so long. Mingling with incense, collars of yellow flowers, garland of patchouli leaves, Tibet cedar coals, coming from the waves and the lounge bar of the nearby beach, a techno music throbbing and modern.
Miller et Bertaux Study #23 (newsletter) is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

oh dear is this the scent of entitled white tourism and techno abroad?
LOL — looks like it!
Despite a couple of notes being up my alley, I can think of no perfume copy that would make me want to smell something less than conjuring up the image of white dreadlocked trance-dancer stomping around in some post-colonial culture.
Hahaha! I think I’ve met those guys.
Lordy – I love M&B and this sounds like it has a lot in common with my favorite, A Quiet Morning, but the perspective is… eugh
Goodness! You actually made me snort out loud! Thanks for the afternoon guffaw.
A scent redolent of memories of strange mushroom omelettes and annoying, introspective trance music in Goa when you realise you’ve lost your passport and the smelly hippie that hugged you earlier actually stole your wallet. Peace out!
Rice, saffron and incence. Are those the notes?
Plus the flowers, patchouli & cedar, I guess.
Two of my favourite scents, Om and A Quiet Morning, have been
produced by Miller et Bertaux.
Therefore I would really like to know who the perfumer is.
Probably this new creation would be one for me, too.
