French niche line Gri Gri has launched Sideshow, the brand's fourth fragrance.
When Sideshows still performed throughout the United States, tattoos were a real attraction in 19th-century circuses. While tattoos are considered an artistic statement today, at the time, they were the subject of curiosity.
This parade of scents brings to mind carnival sweets and treats. Cotton candy and candy apple blend with the fantastical fragrances of hyraceum and leather, evoking the exoticism of the traveling circus.
A freakishly attractive enchantement.
Additional notes for the unisex gourmand include bubble gum and tolu balsam.
Gri Gri Sideshow is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Bubble gum is one heck of a note to just lump in with “sweets and treats”! (Though maybe it’s only an alarming surprise because of how much I haaaaate the scent of bubble gum and how close I got to being intrigued)
I would not make any big assumptions about it though — you might not even notice it.
Personally, I think this sounds absolutely delicious. Interesting that the Gri Gri line is mostly masculine and for ‘tattooed skin’. A choice to limit your potential audience might not be popular: though I’m sure it’s more about the attitude. As someone with tattoos I do think about the connection between them and my fragrance: whether to subvert, surprise or match.
I doubt only people with tattoos buy them, but you’re right that it might not be a great way to reach a wide audience.
